Reverse Osmosis Systems in Rockwall

We install under-sink reverse osmosis systems that give your kitchen a dedicated tap for drinking and cooking water. We also set each one up so it is easy to look after, because a well-kept system keeps tasting good long after install day.

Cleaner Water at the Kitchen Tap

Reverse osmosis forces water across an extremely fine membrane. Dissolved minerals, chlorine byproducts and many trace contaminants are left behind and rinsed away, while the cleaned water collects in a small storage tank. A typical system has a sediment filter, one or two carbon filters, the membrane and a final carbon polish before the water reaches a small faucet beside your sink.

It is the right call when you mainly care about what you drink and cook with. If you want treated water at every tap in your home, our whole-home filtration page covers that. Many homeowners pair the two, and the whole-home filter also takes load off the RO membrane.

Our focus is the years after the install. An RO system is simple, but it depends on its filters being changed on time. We show you how it works, label each housing and tell you plainly what to expect.

What Your Installation Includes

A look at your sink and water

We check the space under your sink, your water pressure and where the drain line can tie in. We can also set up a free water test, so the system matches your water.

Dedicated faucet and air gap

We mount the drinking water faucet in an existing sink hole or drill a clean new one. Where it fits, we use an air gap faucet so drain water can never back up into the system.

Storage tank set and pressurized

The tank's air bladder is checked and set before we fill it. A correctly charged tank gives you a steady stream instead of a weak trickle.

Optional fridge or ice maker line

If you want RO water in your refrigerator, we can run a line to it. Clearer ice and better-tasting water from the door are common reasons people ask.

Flushing and a walkthrough

New filters and membranes need to be flushed before use. We do that, then walk you through the shutoff valve, filter order and replacement schedule.

When a Kitchen RO Tap Is Worth It

Plastic jugs keep piling up
If you haul cases or jugs home from the store for drinking and coffee, a dedicated RO faucet can take over nearly all of that water.
Tap water tastes like a pool
Many North Texas utilities disinfect with chlorine or chloramine. It keeps water safe, but some people dislike the taste and smell in coffee or plain glasses of water.
Your current system has slowed down
A glass that takes forever to fill usually points to clogged prefilters, a membrane near the end of its life or a storage tank whose air pressure has dropped. We can tell you whether it needs service or replacement.
Spots on your kettle and glassware
White film comes from dissolved minerals. RO removes most of them from drinking water, though a softener is the fix for the whole house.
Older plumbing in your home
If your pipes or fixtures are older, RO adds an extra layer at the tap you drink from most.

How the Job Goes

  1. 1

    Your call and quote

Tell us about your kitchen and what is bothering you about your water. We give you a quote by phone and can arrange a free water test if you would like one.

  2. 2

    Planning the setup

We confirm the system, the faucet spot and whether a fridge line or booster pump is needed. You know the plan before anyone arrives.

  3. 3

    Install day

We protect the cabinet floor, mount the system, connect the cold line and drain, and pressure-check every fitting. Most kitchens are back to normal the same visit.

  4. 4

    Flush, test and teach

We flush the system, check the flow at the faucet and show you how to change each filter, with dates written on the housings.

What Shapes the Price

Every quote is built from your kitchen and the system you choose. We explain each part so you know what you are paying for, including what upkeep will look like later. Standard professional installation included for qualifying homes.

System type and stages
A standard tank system, a tankless model or one with a remineralizing stage each price differently. More stages also mean more filters to replace over time.
Countertop and faucet placement
Using an existing sink hole is simplest. Drilling stone or quartz takes extra time and care.
Extra lines and pumps
A run to your refrigerator adds tubing and labor. Low water pressure may call for a booster pump so the membrane works properly.
Replacing an old unit
Removing a worn system and reusing what still works can affect the total. We tell you honestly which parts are worth keeping.

Reverse Osmosis Questions

How often do the filters need changing?
Prefilters and the carbon polish are usually changed every six to twelve months. The membrane often lasts two to three years, depending on your water and how much you use. Hard water and skipped prefilter changes shorten its life, so staying on schedule saves you money.
Does reverse osmosis waste water?
Yes. Part of the incoming water is used to flush the membrane clean and leaves through the drain line. The amount varies with the system design and the water pressure in your home. Newer, efficient models and correct pressure keep it low, and we will talk through the options with you.
Does RO water taste different from regular tap water?
Usually it tastes lighter and cleaner, since the membrane pulls out most dissolved minerals along with chlorine. A few people find that a bit plain. An optional remineralizing stage puts a little calcium and magnesium back for a rounder taste, and we can explain both setups so you pick the one you enjoy.
Can you work on the RO system I already have?
Often, yes. We can check the filters, membrane and tank pressure and tell you whether a service brings it back or replacement makes more sense.
Do I need whole-home filtration too?
Not always. RO treats one tap. If chlorine smell in the shower or scale in appliances bothers you, whole-home filtration or a water softener handles that, and either one helps your RO membrane last longer.
